Martin "Marty" Robert Cole, 72, of Liberty, NY, passed away on February 17, 2024, in Newport, TN. He was born on January 18, 1952, in Liberty, NY, to the late Marlyn Cole and Lee Cole.

 

Marty was a devoted and loving father, son, and friend. He was generous to all those that knew him. An avid outdoorsman, Marty enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping in his younger years. He had a passion for motorcycles and rebuilt his original Harley-Davidson several times. He also spent many years as a volunteer fireman with the Swan Lake fire department.

 

He is survived by his father Lee Cole, sister Barbara Cole, brother Rodney Cole, companion Carole Jasuta, daughters Cynthia VanValkenburg (Chad), Rachel Cole, Melissa Gonzalez (Rafael), son Philip Cole (Amanda), grandchildren Elijah Gonzalez, Celia VanValkenburg, Sofia Gonzalez, Camila Gonzalez and grand-pets Lola Cole, River Song Cole and Comet VanValkenburg.

 

Marty will be dearly missed by all who knew him

 

Visitation will be on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 South Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754 from 1:00-3:00pm.
