Marva Angela Rose was born on September 26, 1960, in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. She was Miteline Salmon's third child and the late Clifford Rose's second child. Marva led a life that was a beacon of unwavering kindness, boundless compassion, and relentless determination. Her influence reached far and wide, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her and leaving an indelible mark on the world. Throughout her life, Marva exemplified resilience in the face of adversity and courage in times of challenge. She approached every obstacle with grace and dignity, inspiring those around her to persevere. Her love knew no boundaries. She is uniquely connected with people from all walks of life, offering a listening ear, a comforting embrace, and a shoulder to lean on to anyone in need. Her compassion was a universal language, and her acts of kindness resonated with countless individuals near and far.

Marva Angela Rose, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Garnet Health Medical Center in Harris, New York. She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her mother, Miteline Salmon, her children, Elaine Graham-Gaynor(aka Karyn), Yvonne Rose-Tarry, Jerome Chambers(aka Jermaine), and her grandchildren, Kieca Chambers, Willie Hubbard Jr., Michael Tarry, Jameer Chambers, Deforrest Tarry, and Justice Tarry. She is also survived by her sisters, Silvia Clark, Vivienne Rose-Allen, Trecia BecKford, Yanacia Rose, Patrice Rose, and Allison Rose; her brothers, Everton Vietch, Benjamin Rose, and Carter Rose; her step-mother, Veronica Beckford-Rose; her aunts, Tolleter St. Aimee, Esmin Harris and Husband Hewlette Harris, Valrie Rose-Thompson; her uncles, Balvin Rose and wife Lenora Rose, Victor Rose, and Felix Rose; her close nephew Sodekee Fuller, her close niece Julena Allen; other nieces and nephews (Carl, Leo, Kristoff, Nathaniel, Abrahim, Ricky, Antonio, Andrea, Ashley, Goldean, & Chevean); her cousins and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th from 12 to 1pm at First Church of God, 5489 Route 42 North, South Fallsburg, NY 12779. A funeral service will be held at the church at 1pm. Burial will be held at a later date at Meadow Rest Memorial Gardens, St. Catherine, Jamaica.
